Report on Tree Plantation Day
Who:
The Tree Plantation Day was organized by the Environment Club of our school, with participation from students of all classes. The event was led by the school principal and supervised by the biology teacher, Mrs. Sharma.
What:
The event aimed to promote environmental consciousness among students and to contribute towards enhancing the green cover around the school. Each student was assigned a tree sapling to plant and care for.
When:
The event took place on the 5th of June, marking World Environment Day, a day dedicated to environmental awareness and protection.
Where:
The tree plantation activity took place in the school’s backyard, which had been prepared for the planting process. The surrounding areas were cleared for the event to ensure proper planting space.
Why:
The main objective of this initiative was to raise awareness about environmental issues, especially deforestation, and to instill a sense of responsibility among students to protect nature.
How:
The event began with a brief talk by the principal about the importance of trees and the need for conservation. Students were then given saplings, gardening tools, and instructions on how to plant them properly. The entire school participated in the planting activity. Afterward, the students were encouraged to take care of the plants.
