Greenfield Senior Secondary School observed Environment Awareness Week from 3rd to 8th August 2025 with the aim of sensitising students towards environmental issues and encouraging eco-friendly practices. The week-long programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Mrs. Kavita Sharma, who stressed the urgent need for sustainable living and student-led initiatives in conserving natural resources.

The activities began with an Inter-House Poster-Making Competition on the theme “Our Earth, Our Responsibility”, where colourful and thought-provoking artworks adorned the school auditorium. This was followed by a Tree Plantation Drive in which over 150 saplings were planted in the school premises and nearby community park. Students from Classes IX to XII actively participated, with the Eco Club members guiding younger students on proper planting techniques.

A Special Assembly was conducted mid-week, featuring speeches, street plays, and poetry recitations on topics such as climate change, plastic pollution, and renewable energy. The highlight of the week was an Awareness Rally organised in the neighbourhood, where students carried placards and raised slogans promoting waste segregation and water conservation.
