Approach Solution -2

Ans. A.Sphincter of ani internus →  r. Guarding the terminal part of alimentary canal

This internal anal sphincter is in charge of regulating the passage of excrement out of the alimentary canal's terminal portion.

B. Cardiac sphincter →  s. Between the duodenum and posterior stomach

There is a cardiac sphincter situated between the anterior stomach and esophagus.

It regulates how food travels from the esophagus to the stomach.

C. Sphincter of Oddi →  1. Opening of hepatopancreatic duct into the duodenum.

The sphincter of Oddi regulates the entry of the hepatopancreatic duct into the duodenum. The sphincter of Oddi regulates the flow of pancreatic juice and bile into the duodenum.

D. Ileocaecal →  Between small intestine and bowel.

Between the ileum and caecum is where the ileocecal valve is located. This regulates how food is transported from the small to the big intestine.

E. Pyloric sphincter →   Between duodenum and posterior stomach.

The pyloric sphincter is the sphincter that connects the duodenum with the posterior stomach.

The opening and shutting of the pyloric sphincter regulate the passage of the partly digested acidic food known as chyme into the duodenum.

Concepts Used:

Digestion and Absorption - Alimentary Canal

Digestion can be defined as the process of breakdown of large, insoluble and complex food molecules into smaller ones for its absorption and circulation in the body. This process involves the usage of a variety of digestive fluids and enzymes, including saliva, mucus, bile and hydrochloric acid, among others.

The alimentary canal is mainly referred to as the pathway by which food enters our body and moves out through the anus after digestion. It is a tube-like structure that starts from the mouth and ends in the anus. The alimentary canal plays a primary role in human digestion and is also termed as the digestive tract.

Peristalsis is a series of wave-like muscle contractions that move food through the digestive tract.
