The Correct Option is C

Solution and Explanation

Dynamo operates on the principle of the production of dynamically induced e.m.f. Therefore whenever flux is cut by the conductor, some e.m.f. is produced in it according to the law of electromagnetic induction.

AC Generator

An electric generator that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy in form of an alternative emf or alternating current is called an AC generator. It works on the principle of ”Electromagnetic Induction”.

Parts of an AC Generator:

An Ac generator comprises two poles of a magnet, one is the north pole and the other is the south pole of a magnet, in order to have a uniform magnetic field. It contains a coil that is rectangular in shape which is the armature. These coils are connected to the slip rings and nuts about them are carbon brushes.

The slip rings are made up of metal and are insulated from each other. The brushes are carbon brushes and one end of each brush connects to the ring and the other connects to the circuit. The rectangular coils rotate approximately on an axis that is perpendicular to the magnetic field. There is also a shaft that rotates rapidly.
