Ease refers to the amount of extra space or allowance added to the body measurements in a garment to provide comfort, mobility, and design style. It is the difference between the garment’s actual measurements and the wearer’s body measurements.
There are two types of ease:
Wearing ease: Necessary for comfortable movement, such as breathing and sitting.
Design ease: Added for style and appearance, like loose or flowing garments.
Without appropriate ease, a garment would be too tight and restrict movement.
