Mendelian disorders are conditions caused by mutations in a single gene. Klinefelter's, Down's, and Turner's syndromes are chromosomal disorders, caused by an abnormal number of chromosomes. Certain forms of congenital stationary night blindness are inherited as Mendelian traits (autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive, or X-linked). While night blindness can also be caused by Vitamin A deficiency, its inherited forms are Mendelian.
