Solution and Explanation

Given that $v_{1}=10\, m / s ; m_{1}=10\, kg$
$v_{2}=0 ; m_{2}=9\, kg$
$v_{3}=v ; m_{3}=1\, kg$
According to conservation of momentum
$m_{1} v_{1}=m_{2} v_{2}+m_{3} v_{3}$
$10 \times 10=9 \times 0+1 \times v$
$\Rightarrow v=100\, m / s$
