It is used as a calcium pectinate for the formation of middle lamella in cell wall for lipid metabolism, for cell division and cell enlargement, helps in translocation of carbohydrates and also activates enzyme activity in plants. All other like Zn, Cu and Mn are micronutrients of plants.
