A CT (Computed Tomography) scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles around the body and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional (tomographic) images or 3-Dimensional images of the bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues inside the body.
Unlike traditional X-rays, which produce flat or 2-D images, CT scans provide a much more detailed and layered view by compiling multiple slices of the scanned object.
This enables clinicians to visualize internal organs, detect abnormalities, and guide surgical or radiation procedures more effectively.
