Sporogony of malarial parasites occurs in the stomach wall of mosquitoes.

Sporogony is the sexual stage that produces an enormous number of infecting parasites. The nucleus of the oocyst divides and this is followed by cytoplasmic division. Next is the formation of several sporozoite and this stage is a highly infective stage. This is because, when a mosquito bites a man, thousands of sporozoites enter the bloodstream. Plasmodium finishes its life cycle in two hosts.
