The Correct Option is A

Solution and Explanation

Assume the number of passengers be \(x\)

The amount received by each person be \(Rs. \frac{6500}{x}\)

From the question we know that,
\(= (x + 15) (\frac{6500}{x} - 30) = 6500\)

\(6500 - 30x + (\frac{15 \times 6500}{x}) - 450 = 6500\)

\(- 30x^2 + (15 \times 6500) - 450x = 0\)

\(x^2 + 15x - 3250 = 0\)

\((x + 65)(x - 50) = 0\)

So, the value of \(x\) can be - 65 and 50

The number of persons cannot be negative so, 50

The correct option is (A): 50
