The Correct Option is D

Solution and Explanation

The correct option is (D): 50%.
Let Girish invested for t number of months.
Ratio of shares of Komal, Harish and Girish in the profit:
Komal : Harish : Girish = 70000 x 12 : 55000 x 12 : 60000 x t
= 168 : 132 : 12t
According to the question
\(\frac{12t}{(168 + 132 + 12t) }\)x 297000 = 72000
=> \(\frac{12t}{(300 + 12t)}\)x 33 = 8
=> 396t = 2400 + 96t
=> 300t = 2400
=> t = 8
Required percentage =\( \frac{(12 - 8)}{8}\) x 100
\(\frac{4}{8}\) x 100
= 50%.
