The Correct Option is B

Solution and Explanation

Let's Assume the number of Rabbits = xx

Let's Assume the number of Pigeons = yy

So, according to the question,

x+y=90x + y = 90  – (i)

4x+2y=2244x + 2y = 224 as rabbits have 4 legs and pigeons have 2 legs – (ii)

x=90yx = 90 - y

Substituting the value of xx in equation (ii)

4(90 − yy)+ 2y2y = 224

360 − 4y4y + 2y2y = 224

360 - 2y2y = 224

2y=- 2y = 224 - 360

2y- 2y = - 136

y=68y = 68

the number of Pigeons = 68

The correct option is (B): 68
