Power of Accommodation:
The power of accommodation of the eye is the ability of the eye to change its focal length in order to focus on objects at different distances. This is done by changing the curvature of the eye lens. When the object is near, the ciliary muscles contract, causing the eye lens to become more convex, thereby increasing its refractive power. For distant objects, the lens becomes flatter, reducing the refractive power.
Image Formation by the Eye Lens:
The image formed by the eye lens is a real, inverted, and highly diminished image on the retina. The retina acts as a screen where the image is formed and then interpreted by the brain. The eye continuously adjusts the lens shape through the process of accommodation to focus on objects at various distances.
