Bholi, a character in the story *Bholi* by K.A. Abbas, was the youngest of many children in a poor family. However, when Bholi’s father, a progressive man, realized the importance of education, he decided to take Bholi to school to provide her with primary education. Despite her father’s good intentions, Bholi was initially reluctant to go to school due to fear and the judgment of others, especially because of her appearance and lack of confidence.
Bholi's father, however, patiently took her by the hand and led her to the school. He was determined to change her life by offering her the opportunity to be educated. Although Bholi was hesitant, her father’s support and the possibility of a better life eventually encouraged her to stay. This moment marked the beginning of Bholi’s journey towards self-awareness and empowerment. The teacher at the school also played a pivotal role in encouraging Bholi, as she saw the potential in her. Over time, Bholi grew confident and embraced her education, proving that support and encouragement from others can help overcome even the deepest insecurities.
