The G20 (Group of Twenty) is an international forum consisting of 19 countries and the European Union (EU). It was established in 1999 to discuss global economic and financial issues. The first G20 Summit was held in Washington, D.C., in 2008, focusing on the global financial crisis.
The G20 represents major economies, accounting for 85\% of global GDP and 75\% of international trade. The presidency of the G20 rotates annually among its members. In 2023, India held the G20 presidency and hosted the summit in New Delhi.
