We know that Speed = \(\frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Time}}\)
Speed of Hamid \(= \frac{9m}{1h} \)
= 9km/h 
and speed of Akhtar\( =\frac{ 12m}{1h} \)
= 12km/h
Ratio of speed of Hamid to that of speed of Akhtar = \(\frac{9}{12} \)
\(= \frac{3}{4} \)
\(= 3:4\)
