Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the President of the Constituent Assembly, which convened from 1946 to 1950 to frame India's Constitution. His leadership helped guide the assembly through the complex process of drafting the Constitution, which came into effect in 1950. Rajendra Prasad later became India's first President. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, though pivotal in the drafting process, chaired the Drafting Committee, and Vallabhbhai Patel headed the Provincial Constitution Committee.
