The Stratosphere is the second layer of Earth's atmosphere, located above the Troposphere and below the Mesosphere. The ozone layer, which is primarily composed of ozone (O₃), is located in the lower portion of the stratosphere. This ozone layer plays a crucial role in absorbing most of the Sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation, protecting life on Earth.
