Some Natural Phenomena
A naturally occurring process that occurs without any human input is known as Natural Phenomena. For instance, weather, gravity, fog, erosion, thunder, tides, biological processes, oscillation, etc. Winds, storms, and cyclones are some examples of natural phenomena. These are phenomena of destruction. Two other destructive natural phenomena are also discussed below:
- A natural phenomenon in which the surface of the earth starts trembling and shaking due to disturbances deep inside the earth’s crust is called an earthquake.
- A blinding flash of light with the sound of thunder during a thunderstorm is known as lightning. It is also the movement of energy from cloud to cloud or from space to ground.
