Developing Resilience and Determination
To remain resilient during difficult times will help one move forward in life. Challenges are inevitable, but with resilience and determination, one can overcome any obstacle. Mr. Lamb, from On the Face of it, is an inspiring example.
Despite his physical handicap, he embraced life with positivity and independence. His optimistic outlook teaches us that obstacles are only stepping stones to success.
Developing resilience means staying strong, even when faced with adversities. It involves setting goals, maintaining focus, and believing in oneself. Determination drives individuals to achieve their dreams, irrespective of difficulties. Like Mr. Lamb, we must learn to accept ourselves and move forward with confidence and hope.
Let us remember that where there is a will, there is always a way. Success awaits those who are determined and resilient.
“If I am able, are you?” Sadao asked. “No,” Hana said, “But if you can do it alone...” Sadao hesitated again. “The strange thing is,” he said, “that if the man were whole I could turn him over to the police without difficulty. I care nothing for him. He is my enemy. All Americans are my enemy. And he is only a common fellow. You see how foolish his face is. But since he is wounded...” \hfill (The Enemy)
A school is organizing a debate competition with participants as speakers and judges. $ S = \{S_1, S_2, S_3, S_4\} $ where $ S = \{S_1, S_2, S_3, S_4\} $ represents the set of speakers. The judges are represented by the set: $ J = \{J_1, J_2, J_3\} $ where $ J = \{J_1, J_2, J_3\} $ represents the set of judges. Each speaker can be assigned only one judge. Let $ R $ be a relation from set $ S $ to $ J $ defined as: $ R = \{(x, y) : \text{speaker } x \text{ is judged by judge } y, x \in S, y \in J\} $.
