Constituents of the Central Nervous System (CNS):
• The two main constituents of the CNS are: Brain , Spinal Cord
• Protection from injuries: The brain is protected by the skull (cranium) and surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) that cushions it from shocks.
• The spinal cord is protected by the vertebral column (spine) and also surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which acts as a shock absorber.
