(a) Disease-causing organism: Ranikhet disease is caused by the Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV).
(b) Commonly Found in: It affects poultry birds such as chickens, ducks, and turkeys.
(c) One symptom: Birds infected with Ranikhet disease show respiratory distress, coughing, and sneezing. Neurological symptoms like twisted necks may also occur.
(d) One control measure: Vaccination is the most effective measure to prevent Ranikhet disease in poultry. Proper sanitation and biosecurity measures should also be maintained.
