Concern Over Increasing Traffic Issues and Road Rage
Dear Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw attention to the alarming rise in traffic snarls, road rage, and accidents. The exponential increase in vehicles, budget-friendly cab services, and lack of adherence to traffic rules are significant reasons for this issue.
This problem can be mitigated by improving traffic management during peak hours, stricter enforcement of traffic laws, and promoting awareness about road safety through media campaigns. Initiatives like carpooling and upgrading public transport systems can also significantly reduce congestion.
I urge both authorities and citizens to address this critical issue and contribute towards safer and more efficient roadways.
Yours sincerely,
Brinda/Bharat

A ladder of fixed length \( h \) is to be placed along the wall such that it is free to move along the height of the wall.
Based upon the above information, answer the following questions:
(iii) (b) If the foot of the ladder, whose length is 5 m, is being pulled towards the wall such that the rate of decrease of distance \( y \) is \( 2 \, \text{m/s} \), then at what rate is the height on the wall \( x \) increasing when the foot of the ladder is 3 m away from the wall?
