ADH or antidiuretic hormone (vasopressin) causes diabetes insipidus. It increases the blood pressure by contracting blood vessels, so it is called vasopressin. Low secretion of ADH causes diluted urine and low blood pressure. In diabetes insipidus a huge amount of urine diluted) is excreted.
