Solution and Explanation

Formula for time take = \(\frac{Distance}{Speed}\)
Sum of Length of Trains = 200 + 300 = 500
Time taken = \(\frac{Distance(\ Sum\ of\ length \ of\  trains)}{Relative\ Speed}\)
Relative speed = Addition of the two speeds, since trains travelling in opposite direction.
According to the formula
t = \(\frac{500}{90+60}× \frac{5}{18}\) 
t = 12 seconds
The correct option is (C)
