75th Independence Anniversary Celebrated with Patriotic Fervor at XYZ Junior College
Pune, August 17: XYZ Junior College marked the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence with a grand four-day socio-cultural extravaganza from 13th to 16th August 2025.
The event commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony by Principal Dr. S. K. Patil, followed by the National Anthem and patriotic songs by the school choir. Students presented a street play on freedom fighters and a quiz on Indian history.
Day two featured a cultural program with folk dances — Lavani, Bihu, and Garba — symbolizing unity in diversity. A tree plantation drive under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ saw 75 saplings planted.
On 15th August, a blood donation camp in collaboration with PMC collected 60 units. The valedictory included prize distribution and a speech by war veteran Col. R. Desai.
Over 800 students participated, reinforcing values of patriotism and social responsibility.
