Solution and Explanation

Speech on Water Harvesting – World Environment Day
Respected Principal, Teachers, and Dear Friends,
A very happy World Environment Day to all! I’m Ramesh from Jal Rakshak NGO, and today I’m here to talk about water harvesting — our lifeline for the future.
India receives plenty of rain, but we lose 80% of it as runoff. Rainwater harvesting is simple: collect rooftop water in tanks or recharge groundwater through percolation pits. One 1000 sq. ft. roof can save 60,000 liters annually!
Start small:
- Fix a rain barrel at home.
- Dig a soak pit in your garden.
- Convince your society for a common harvesting system.
Every drop saved today is a gift to tomorrow. Let’s pledge: “Catch the Rain Where It Falls!”
Thank you! Jai Hind!
