The 106th Constitutional Amendment Act introduces Article 239AA, which provides for reservation of seats for women in the Municipal Corporations, Councils, and Nagar Panchayats in the four states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. It does not introduce Articles 338 or 334A. However, it does include provisions for the amendment to commence after the first census following its enactment and for it to cease to have effect after 15 years from its commencement.
