According to the Constitution of India, the President can be impeached for the Violation of the Constitution. This is outlined under Article 61, which details the procedure for impeachment. Here's a brief overview:
The process begins in either House of Parliament where charges can be brought.
A notice must be signed by at least one-quarter of the total members of that House and delivered to the Speaker or the Chairman, depending on the House.
The notice is then considered, and if endorsed by two-thirds of the members, an investigation is conducted.
If the charges are substantiated, the other House is informed, and further procedures lead to a similar two-thirds majority vote in favor of impeachment.
Upon successful resolution in both Houses, the President is considered impeached and removed from office.
