The Correct Option is C

Solution and Explanation

Miller et. al, (1955) discovered first cytokinin from degraded sample of yeast DNA and coconut milk and called it kinetin which is a 6 furfuryl amino purine (derivative of purine base-adenine). Auxin and cytokinin are essential for morphogenesis or differentiation of tissue and organ. High ratio of cytokinin to auxin favour bud formation, whereas low ratio of cytokinin to auxin favour root formation. ABA biosynthesis takes place in chloroplast and other plastids. This is formed from mevalonic acid in stress condition, ie, the plants which present in environment which show stress condition.

Growth

Growth takes place all throughout the lifetime, but imminently. In the case of humans, the rate of growth is rapid until maturity. After achieving maturity, growth is gradual and slows down before it completely comes to an end.

Types of Growth:

  • Primary and Secondary Growth: In meristematic cells, the mitotic divisions at the root and shoot apex hike the length of the plant, called Primary Growth while Secondary meristem, which results in an increased diameter of the plant is commonly known as Secondary Growth.
  • Vegetative Growth: Prior to flowering, the growth in plants is known as vegetative growth and that includes the formation of leaves, branches, and stems.
  • Reproductive Growth: At this stage, the plants begin to flower which is a reproductive member of the plant.
