The Correct Option is C

Approach Solution - 1

Epithelium made up of a series of layers is called stratified epithelium. The cells of each layer vary in size and shape. It is also called laminated epithelium. It is found in olfactory region of the nasal cavity and contains the receptors for the sense of smell.

Approach Solution -2

The stratified epithelium has protective or mechanical functions. It is a bi-layered or multi-layered of epithelial cells in which the lower epithelium is in contact with the basal lamina. It also works in secretions, regulation, and absorption.

The stratified epithelium can be divided into squamous, cuboidal, or columnar depending on the shape of the cells that make them.

They are mainly located in body surfaces, internal cavities of organs, and tubes of glands.

Stratified squamous epithelium is present in the mouth of the nasal cavity and is confined to the nasal vestibule.

In the middle of the nasal squamous epithelium and the respiratory epithelium are layers of nonciliated cuboidal or columnar epithelium.

The epithelium found in seminiferous tubules is specialized. It has a thick basal lamina covered by 3 to 4 layers of muscle cells. The inside of the tubules has specialized spermatogenic cells and Sertoli cells that cumulatively form the seminiferous epithelium.

The epithelium found in fallopian tubes is the simple columnar epithelium. It is both ciliated and nonciliated.

The kidney tubules are lined by simple cuboidal epithelium.

Hence the correct answer is option (C.) Nasal cavity.
