Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) is characterized by a persistent pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others. Individuals with this disorder often lack remorse or guilt for their actions and tend to fail to learn from past experiences, especially when their behavior leads to negative consequences. They may engage in deceitful, manipulative, or even harmful behaviors without regard for societal norms or the feelings of others.
This lack of empathy and guilt distinguishes antisocial personality disorder from other personality disorders like borderline, histrionic, or narcissistic disorders, which have different emotional and behavioral patterns.
