Ans: Osteoclast are the cells that help in bone remodelling and are found in the bone tissues. Osteoclast is responsible for bone resorption. Apart from this, some of the characteristics are as follows:

Osteoclast  helps in bone resorption. The enzymes that are secreted will break down the mineral and help in the remodelling.

They are generally multinucleated, which helps in increasing the surface area and thus the enzyme activities.

The cells are derived from hematopoietic stem cells. They get activated and differentiate in the presence of cytokines and growth factors.
