Subject: Concern Regarding the Uncontrolled Use of Mobile Phones and Video Games
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my concern about the uncontrolled use of mobile phones and video games, which has been affecting school-going children, as highlighted in the clipping published in your newspaper. The excessive use of these devices is not only impacting their physical health but also their academic performance and mental well-being.
Children are spending hours glued to their screens, which is leading to eye strain, headaches, poor posture, and a lack of physical activity. As a result, they are suffering from diseases like obesity, sleep disorders, and anxiety. Moreover, the addiction to video games is causing a decline in social interaction and an increase in isolation.
It is crucial for parents, schools, and the community to take immediate action. I urge the authorities to regulate the use of these devices and encourage outdoor activities and hobbies that promote physical and mental health. Children must be educated about the harmful effects of excessive screen time.
I hope that you will raise awareness about this issue through your esteemed newspaper and help create a healthier environment for our future generation.
Yours faithfully,
Saurabh/Shrushti
