Fig. 2 shows the assembly of a SLEEVE AND COTTER JOINT. Disassemble the parts correctly and then draw to scale 1:1 its following views of the following components. Keeping the same position of both sleeve and cotter-B with respect to both H.P. and V.P.:
(i) SLEEVE

(b) Left side view
(ii) COTTER-B

Print the title and scale used. Draw the projection symbol. Give 6 important dimensions.
A Sleeve and Cotter Joint is a mechanical joint used to connect two coaxial rods. It comprises a central sleeve and two cotters which fit into slots in the sleeve to secure the rods.
To answer this question, the assembly should be disassembled and two components must be drawn separately: the Sleeve and the Cotter-B. Each must be drawn with proper alignment as shown in the original assembly drawing.
Scale to be used: 1:1
Projection Symbol: First Angle Projection
Drawing Titles:
- Sleeve of Sleeve and Cotter Joint (Scale 1:1)
- Cotter-B of Sleeve and Cotter Joint (Scale 1:1)
Required Views:
- For Sleeve: Front view lower half in section, and Left side view
- For Cotter-B: Front view and Left side view
Six Important Dimensions to Include:
1. Overall length of sleeve = 140 mm
2. Inner diameter (hole for rod) = $\phi$ 34 mm
3. Cotter slot width = 20 mm
4. Cotter thickness = 8 mm
5. Shoulder width on rod = 27 mm
6. Distance between centerlines of cotter slots = 32 mm
Additional Drawing Tips:
- In the sectional front view of the sleeve, hatch only the cut material. Avoid hatching across cotter or rod lines.
- In the side view, represent the external form of the sleeve and cotter as per projection conventions.
- Show the taper of cotter (1 in 30) clearly in the front view of Cotter-B.

Select the correct statements for the given figure.
(i) A horizontal pyramid is placed with its axis parallel to both H.P. and V.P.
(ii) The solid has three triangular faces in total.
(iii) A horizontal pyramid is placed with its axis perpendicular to V.P.
(iv) It is an example of polyhedron.
