From (i) it is not certain that the appointment was on Tuesday. Because if the appointment was at 6 am then exactly after 60 h it is Tuesday.
But if the appointment was at 6 pm then exactly after 60 h it is not Tuesday. We cannot solve the question using only (i) From (ii), it is not certain that it is Tuesday as only time is given.
But from (i) and (ii) we can say that the appointment was on Tuesday if we take any time between 1pm and 9pm.
Question can be solved using both the statements.
Hence, option C is the correct answer.The correct option is (C): if both statements I and II together are required to answer the question but neither statement alone is sufficient
