The Correct Option is A

Solution and Explanation

A horse is tethered to one corner of a rectangular grassy field 40 m by 24 m with a rope 14 m long.

As we know from the question, Area of the field that the horse can gaze = 14 \(m\)

So, The area of sector having radius \(r\) = 14 \(m\)

To calculate the area of sector the formula is = \(\frac{\theta}{360} \times \pi r^2\)

Putting the value in the formula = \(\frac{90}{360} \times \frac{22}{7}\times 14 \times 14\)

\(\frac{1}{4} \times 22 \times 28\)

\(22 \times 7 = 154\ m^2\)

The correct option is (A): 154 m2
